TV & Radio Stations

 

In cases of storms or bad weather when it becomes necessary to close the school, students and parents are urged to tune radios to the local radio station, KTCH AM/FM, and listen for announcements.  KTIV, KCAU and KMEG may also have been notified of late starts or snow days. When it is known before school hours that school will be closed for that day, the radio announcement will generally be made several times between 6:30 and 8:00 A.M.  When it becomes necessary to terminate school during the school day due to bad weather conditions, a radio announcement will be made about one hour prior to the dismissal of students and repeated several times after that.
